Smooth playing :) Very nice comparison between the two. EV is really good! I am an indian classical keyboard artiste and i am planning on the EV, connecting it with a mixer and have a 3 piece indian instruments band running with ev for chamber events. Couple of questions - 1. Have u tried connecting this with a mixer? If yes, did it go thru the aux port or the main channels? 2. Is the speaker able to playback stereo audio without loss of panned samples? Thank you for sharing this with us :)

does TS408 have basic effects like echo/reverb, chorus etc.? If not onboard - can this be done via the app? I think Alto Busker have Alexis FX that has reverb. Not sure if Alto Busker app and TS408 app is the same app?

Great tips! I think I knew all of these. I love that the piano sound also works with all of the effects except for the drive! One sound tip for the regular piano is to make an Upright piano sound. Turn the Chorus on, with the Depth at the 3rd marker (9 o clock) and the speed at the 4th marker. Then turn on the digital Delay, with the depth at the 7th marker (Just past half way) and the at the first marker (as fast as possible). Using a delay like this creates a kind of gated reverb sound. Then turn the reverb up as much as you like. It makes a nice bright lively sound! if you want a more dark and wooly sound you can switch to the analog delay and dial in a similar darker gated reverb sound. One extra tip. If you switch on the Wah effect and put the rate at the first marker all the way to the left. Switching between the full left and full right on the depth knob will give you a low pass and high pass filter effect. So turn the depth all the way to the right for that high pass radio kind of effect, or the depth all the way to the left (and crank the reverb) for that ultra wooly underwater sound. Love this keyboard!

Hello 🎉❤ great info -A few questions -if you have time , I just bought a reface cp -as a simple portable -after seeing reviews like yours on utube etc , I love the sounds -My questions relate to expansion of use- 1. ie what brand to buy - re to maybe also sometimes, connect a weighted or semi weighted midi 88 keyboard under au mid entry price s - 2. What product to buy to get quality extra sound via speakers / p.a . *I have read (any blue tooth is not recommended re on the cp yamaha manual au ) ps all this is just creative home use . I’ve tested several keyboards, including the Korg SV2, Crumar, and a few Rhodes models, though they were way too expensive for me, or I do not know their value perhaos and should get a Korg SV2, but am not sure.... I also tried the Roland FP-60X and FP-90X, which have nice keys, those are the ones the sales people want me to buy, but their 1976 suitcase is so limited. While I haven’t made a purchase yet, I did like the sounds I could get from this particular model Reface CP model and ended up playing it for a pretty long time in the store, of course the keys are crap, but the sound is great, especially for the price. I also tested the Arturia. Ideally, I’d love to find a keyboard just a bit larger than this one, with weighted keys, and that can deliver those great Rhodes sounds, which I enjoy distorting like an electric guitar. Does a keyboard with weighted keys and around 49 keys even exist? I love the sound of the CP, Rhodes sounds, and organ sounds of the 70s, but I'm still searching for the right keys and build of a keyboard,d digital piano that can last and feel like a piece of serious machinery. Any advice on what I should look into would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the great review-it’s reassuring to know I'm on the right track sound-wise, though I still need to sort out the keys and build to find what piano/keyboard I should get, so please advise... I have this S1 Pro speaker and looking to play my flute with the speaker play my piano accompaniment at an outdoor garden wedding in Oct. I’m currently looking for an economical mic that are good for flute. What do you recommend? Do you think I need to just get a mic with XLR wire or do I need to get a mixer in additions to Phantom power and a mic stand?

Very useful! Hearing the Bose side by side of the Alto is perfect for the comparison not possible in person. 15 months ago I ordered Bose, jbl, EV8s and found the EV8s were a better sound to my ears and kept a pair. The Bose is very distinctive and I remember that clarity and presence, so a great reference point to evaluate the ts408. You taught me another important thing.. that the fine clarity of the Bose is in many ways lost in a noisy environment. Paying extra for that detail is worth it to me in quiet listening environments, but the ts408 is okay and good enough for noisy environments. Thank you for your help! Very useful!
